Children & Youth

The Children’s Bible School provides a vital and dynamic way for children 5-11 years old to grow in faith. Children experience Bible lessons, music, worship and crafts that all surround a particular theme. Children’s Sunday school continues for children through 6th grade. Each class offers young people an opportunity to learn, share, grow, and have fun with friends and neighbors. PUMC strives to help children understand the Biblical lessons and apply the teaching of the Bible to their life. We are committed to helping children develop a personal relationship with God and Jesus Christ.

MYST provides a vital and dynamic way for students, in grades 6 – 12, to grow in their Christian discipleship. There are many exciting events that youth can participate in. Whether at retreat, mission trip, or MYST meetings, our focus is building meaningful relationships with each other and God.   MYST makes programming fun and inviting, so kids will not only want to come, but will want to bring their friends as well. PUMC offers youth a wide range of classes and opportunities for growth and socialization. Whether the activity is a Bible study, a retreat at a United Methodist Camp, a mission work project, or a Sunday evening MYST program, the youth are constantly challenged to grow within the body of Christ. Activities are designed to provide Christian fellowship as well as learning experiences. There are many special programs, events and trips for youth scheduled throughout the year.

Each summer PUMC offers a week of fun and learning for children ages three through rising 6th graders called Vacation Bible School (VBS). VBS is  PACKED with live Bible skits, amazing music, fun games, creative crafts, and we will even serve dinner to the kids each night. Our Vacation Bible school is FREE OF CHARGE to all kids.

Child care is provided during Sunday worship service. Supervised play is offered in the nursery of the Education Building for babies and toddlers. Older children are invited to attend PUMC’s Children’s Sunday School for biblical stories, games, and fun. In addition, the Paradise United Methodist

The Church provides a “Cry Room” adjacent to the sanctuary for those who want to enjoy their baby and the service. The “Cry Room” is a quiet and secluded place for parents to care for their baby’s needs and still be a part of that Sunday’s sermon. Please call the church office for further information.
